The festival in Milledgeville this past weekend was great - hopefully it will build up over the next year - it's a nice venue - keep your eye out for the Scenic Mountain Festival.

October 1st - Mountain Music & Medicine Show at the Buisson Arts Center in Dahlonega (across from the Smith House on South Chestatee St.). Performed in front of a live audience of 200, the Mountain Music & Medicine Show is an old-time radio show featuring traditional mountain music and stories based on North Georgia history, legend and folklore. For three consecutive years the Mountain Music & Medicine Show won the GABBY Award from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for best locally produced live radio show in the State. October 1 musical guests include Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike, and The Pea Ridge Ramblers. Stories and humor are provided by Doc Johnson & a cast of colorful mountain characters.
